What started as a strawberry stand on the side of the road is now a fully operational, 150 acre tree farm. Edward James Underwood started Underwood Nursery in 1952. The company is now run by his two sons, E.J. and Mark, with help from E.J.’s son, Kyle. With over 100 employees Underwood Nursery has grown into a staple of the Adrian community and one of Southern Michigan’s top landscaping companies.
